In Loving Memory Of Baby Jackson.

On July 22, 2016, my dear friend Nicole Calandra- Diaz and her husband Peter, faced every parents worst nightmare when their baby boy, Jackson Lee Diaz, was born into this world sleeping. The immeasurable strength that I've witnessed from Nicole, has by far surpassed anything I've ever encountered.
Jackson was diagnosed with full Trisomy 18 (Edwards Syndrome) when Nicole was 12 weeks pregnant. At 15 weeks she made the very courageous decision to carry Jackson until he decided to go on his own terms. Take the time to read through Nicole's Blog which shows the very essence of her beautiful soul as she describes their journey with Jackson's diagnosis.
Lastly, I want to quote Nicole's post in her updating her friends and family with Jackson's passing. My heart bled for hers, as no parent should ever have to go through such a loss.
"It is with immense pain and devastation to say that Jackson put up a courageous fight for almost 35 weeks, before succumbing to Trisomy 18. Mother's intuition told me that Jackson earned his wings Tuesday night. After receiving heartbreaking confirmation that Jackson had indeed passed away, I was induced Thursday and delivered Jackson this morning at 8:10am. I held him in my womb for 8 months, in my arms for 10 hours, but in my heart for all eternity. We are deeply saddened to know the pain of losing a child, something we could have never foreseen nor prepared for, but feel at peace knowing our son went peacefully, on his own terms, and to the sound of my heart. Thank you all for your constant support and kind words through this journey. Rest in peace my littlest love, thank you for blessing us with your presence. May you know just how loved you are."
Everyone who knows Nicole, truly knows what a genuine and loving soul she is. Please, please, please find it in your heart to donate anything you can and/or share this post with everyone you know. Anything helps. God bless you all❤️
