My older brother Kyle has been homeless since June 30th, 2016. He is 38 years old, is on the autism spectrum, and is unemployed. Services in the United States are spotty at best for people with disabilities, and this is no more true than in the state of Wisconsin, where Kyle currently lives.

Kyle recently lost the apartment he was living in with three other roommates when the lease ran out, and he has no place to go. He has since been on the streets, sleeping in shelters, parks, and abandoned buildings, like the one where he lays his head tonight. 

There is an apartment lined up for Kyle and a friend, but they can't move in until the 15th of September! Kyle has no food, no money, no clothing that isn't becoming tattered, and no safe place to sleep until then. I want to raise enough money to get Kyle into a safe room until 9/15, get food and fresh water, and possibly get clothes that aren't falling apart. 

When Kyle told me he was sleeping in a park, my heart broke. I felt helpless with my meager financial means, knowing watever I could give would only help for a day or so. This is my big brother. We played D & D together. We took martial arts together. He shared with me his universe of stories that tumbles constantly through his head. I cannot let him sleep on the street and not try everything possible to help, even from far away. Along with raising money to house him, I'm also helping him look for work and apply for more immediate social services.

Anything you can give will be a blessing. I just want my brother to be safe, warm, and able to take back control of his life.
