Stevie Slide in the Trees

My name is Mike Connery, Father to Stevie Connery a very active 6 1/2 year old boy.

Stevie was born completely blind with a rare disorder called SOD - Septic Optic Dysplasia. He is also moderately autistic. This is not life threatening, but it is life long.
Despite his setbacks, he is happy and loving. He loves to bounce in his trampoline and swing on his swing. He grew out of his Fisher Price slide which he used well beyond the age limit, that hasn't stopped his desire to slide and climb. Basically like any little boy.
Stevie cannot be left alone to play in his yard, he needs 24/7 care. Five days and evenings a week that care is given by Stevie's Nonna and myself as we all live together.

The money that we are hoping to raise is for a locally built tower and slide that will last into his late teens and beyond. The company came today and said that it would be built and ready for Stevie in 2 weeks.
It will be placed under the trees, for year round comfort next to his swing.

I know that 2 weeks is a fast turn around for funds, I just have no money left to do this for him.
This would mean so much to us, especially to Stevie as he asks to slide daily.
