After the story broke out about the boy at the restaurant I received numerous cards, phone calls, and messages from survivors themselves. They often told me that they wished they had someone like me to help them when they needed it the most. I quickly realized that a lot of people go trough Abuse and need someone to see what is going on and help them get out of their situation. Unfortunately these people don’t get the help they need because other people aren’t trained to identify the signs of abuse and don’t know how to act on it. For this reason I have been working with people and organizations to creat a plan. The Start is to have small groups to train and educate people on how to identify the signs of Abuse and have the knowledge on how to act on it. So other people going through abuse can have a happier ending like the boy. From all of this grows the Flaviane Carvalho Foundation, Against Abuse (nonprofit). So I am asking those who would like to help in the creation of this foundation to come together. Together we are stronger.
