Please Help Relocate Grandkids & Daughter - Vegas to Chicago

Hello, my name is Debra, and I’m a grandmother reaching out with a heart full of hope.

In 2016 (nine years ago), my oldest daughter and her six beautiful children moved from Chicago to Las Vegas, trying to make a fresh start. Life took them west, but my heart stayed here—missing them more every day. Since they left, I’ve only been able to see them a handful of times, and every goodbye gets harder.

The photos I’ve shared here were taken years ago and so much has changed since then, but what hasn't changed is my deep love and longing to have my family close again.

Now, we finally have a chance. My daughter is ready to bring her kids back home to Chicago—where they have family, support, and a community that’s missed them deeply. But the cost of moving across states with six children is more than they can manage alone. To avoid being locked into a new lease that would keep them in Las Vegas even longer and further delay their return home to Chicago, they must move out of their apartment by July 1, 2025—just a few days away—which is why this situation is so urgent.

That’s where I need your help.

We’re trying to raise enough to cover:

*A moving truck and gas

*Temporary housing upon arrival

*Basic furniture and household needs

*Any unexpected travel or resettling expenses

This move means everything to us. It means reuniting a grandmother with her grandchildren, a mother with her roots, and six kids with stability, family, and love.
