Hey everyone. My name is Tracy and I am Kylah’s mom. I am writing today to ask for your help. My beautiful daughter Kylah , who is only 20years old, was diagnosed with Non Hodgkin’s lymphoma a week ago and it hit her and us like a ton of bricks. We have seen doctors and had multiple tests to confirm this diagnosis. She had an ultrasound that said her tumor was the size of a large tomato, a week later a cat scan showed two tumors, and 4 days later she had a pet scan and it showed 5 tumors. We saw an oncologist and he told Kylah that she should look into getting her eggs frozen before starting chemotherapy because there is a good chance she will be sterile and unable to have kids later. After seeing 2 fertility specialists, they are telling us that our insurance won’t cover the bill for this egg retrieval nor the in vitro whenever she decides to have children. We now have to pay for another drug to help her eggs. While we are trying to stay optimistic, it is very difficult when you try to help your child and financially you can’t. While we have some of the money to help, she needs the money up front before starting the egg retrieval process. Any donation that you can make will help her tremendously. The donations will be going to egg retrieval and dr visits for fertility specialists, hormone injections, lab work and medicines ! We are trying to start treatment for her ASAP and with everyone’s help, she will be able to have babies one day. Kylah goes to school full time and works full time and as her mom , I don’t want her to have to worry about the finiancial aspect of her disease! My heart breaks for her that I can’t fix her and take away the pain she has everyday and every night. If I can help her in any way, then I will do my job as her mom to make this as painless as possible and help her become a mom one day just like me! I thank everyone who will contribute to her cause.
