Anthonys Eagle Scout Project

Hello, my name is Anthony Pollard!  I am thirteen years old and go to All Saints Catholic School, where I am currently an eighth grader. I am part of Scout Troop 26 based out of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma. My Eagle Scout Project is to reinvent and beautify the new entrance to All Saints Catholic School. 

This summer, the school will construct a new vestibule with a secure front entrance. I have been in contact with Mrs. Williams, the principal, and Mr. Borovich, the building engineer, and they have said that this project would greatly benefit the school for years to come. The contractors coming in will remove the existing flower beds. My project is to plan, purchase, and plant new flowers and bushes in the newly created flower beds.  This will finish off the new entrance construction and make the front of school look beautiful and welcoming to all who visit.  Once the construction company is finished, which is scheduled to be around the second or third week in July, we will be able to begin to plant the flowers and bushes in the new flower beds.

From monetary donations to the physical planting of the flower beds, this is quite a large undertaking and will need many people to help complete this project successfully. That is where you come in!  My plan is to buy approximately 40 different plants that will cover the two flower beds on either side of the new entrance.  To finish off the flower beds, we will also need mulch and edging.  The school has also requested to have new pedestals made in which to set the current statues upon.  The estimated costs of this project will be around $1500, which is subject to change depending on the availability of materials. 

Obviously, you can see that it is not possible to complete this project without your help!  I know this is a huge undertaking, but I am very excited to have this be my Eagle Scout Project!  As I leave All Saints Catholic School to move on to high school, it is nice to give back to the school that helped shape me into the person I am today. This new entrance will be used for many years to come, so it is important for me to do it right!  If you would like to donate to the project fund, no amount is too small and any amount will help get me one step closer to completing the project!  If you have access to materials such as plants, mulch, or edging and would like to donate those, please give me a call at [phone redacted] or leave a message here.  Also, if you would like for me to contact you when we get closer to the actual project date to help, please let me know!  If funds exceed the amount needed to complete the project, the extra money will be put to additional benches for the teachers on the playground and stepping stones.
