Climbing Mt Kilimanjaro for Marie Curie

Donation protected
I am embarking on the challenging task of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro for the purpose of raising money for the Marie Curie charity. Like many charities, it has been particularly struggling to sustain its objective of providing its first class care during the pandemic. I will be performing this monumental challenge in August 2021, in loving memory of my Dada.

Any donation, big or small, would do much to support those professionals who aid the lives of very sick patients.

Marie Curie has almost 2000 nurses, who work in the community to provide free end of life care to 94% of the UK population.

People cared for by Marie Curie are 3 times less likely to be admitted to hospital in an emergency at the end of their lives

7/10 people cared for by Marie Curie die in their own homes.

Thank you very much for your support!

Marie Curie provide care and support to patients suffering from a terminal illness. They offer expert care, guidance and support right from diagnosis through the bereavement. Their aim is to ensure patients have the best quality of life and can keep their independence and dignity for as long as possible. Marie Curie have 9 Hospices across the UK as well as Community nurses who offer care and support to patients in their own home environment. They have a successful Information and Support line which is available 7 days a week where anyone can call or email any concerns, or questions regarding terminal illness.
