Help Taryn & Scott Make a Baby

As some of you may know, our daughter, Taryn and her husband Scott, have been actively trying to get pregnant for many years now. (Not that they haven’t been having a good time…) But, now that they are in their 40’s, time is running out. They have struggled with unexplained infertility, all tests appear normal and there is no specific explanation as to the cause.
Despite promising results from Clomid, great egg production and healthy sperm, IUI was unsuccessful after 3 procedures. The next step is IVF. In this procedure the doctor transfers a healthy embryo into the uterus. Since there is no medical explanation as to why they have not conceived, Taryn and Scott plan to use their own eggs and sperm for the procedure.
Unfortunately, their insurance does not cover any fertility costs and or the medications that Taryn will have to take. Because the timeframe is so short, and the present bills for procedures have already stacked up, this is a nearly impossible financial challenge for them to achieve.
We decided to become creative and reach out to our family, friends and community for help. Asking for financial donations is extremely awkward. And although Taryn and Scott consented, they are very unsure what people may think of them and their private struggle. However, putting pride aside is necessary in order for them to achieve their dream of being parents.
"Go Fund Me" is an online platform to help people achieve some financial help in times of need. The cost of the IVF procedure is $10,000, so that is how we’ve set the goal. In many aspects of our lives we’ve seen people come together, often with nothing more than the cost of a cup of nice coffee. Amazing things happen everyday. How lucky are we that something so small can become something so incredible?
We know that Taryn and Scott would be forever grateful and touched by even the smallest donation.
