As an elected Alternate Bernie Delegate to the DNC in Philly I am raising money to off set the expenses. The hotels increase the price of the rooms and the hotel that I am assigned to will cost $ 400+ Per night and we must stay 5 nights.
It's a difficult ask for me as I am more comfortable giving than receiving but the price tag for this event requires that I at least ask.
For those who do not know me, I was the Holyoke Captain for the Bernie campaign. I organized several phonebank And canvassing efforts that help bring my city within 48 votes of Clinton in the primary.
I was a twenty year public school teacher in Holyoke.
I am committed to bringing Bernie's message to the DNC in July and beyond, as this revolution , I believe is vital to the citizens of this country and the world.
I am currently very concerned with the DNC platform that gives strength to TPP and fracking. I believe that healthcare is a right and want to see a single payer system. Lastly the economic and racial injustices in this country are on the rise and I will never be silent until there is real correction and we return to a government by and for the people, not just the wealthy.
