Aki Sato - Bike Race Promoter - Equipment Stolen

His high-speed camera, ladder, table, Super Quiet Honda generator, and some other equipment was stolen.  He literally set it down for 5 minutes, went back to the parking lot to grab more stuff, and when he came back, everything was gone.  Altogether, his equipment was worth around $5,000.

A little history on Aki Sato:  He's a huge part of the cycling and racing community, raced hundreds of races since the '80s, been on several teams, currently on Expo Wheelmen, and has been for years.  He's one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet at or away from an event, willing to help others in times of need, he would give you the shirt off his back.  He's put on so many races over the years, Bethel Spring Series, and others, putting in hundreds and hundreds of hours, always investing his own money.  He lends his trailer, which acts as the registration center, to others who want to put on their races.  He volunteers his time at other's races on a regular basis.  He's a USAC Official and volunteers his time for that as well.  He takes time away from his family to come to these events - people come from all over, even outside New England to his races because he always puts on a stellar event.  One of the most generous people you could meet.

It's a real shame his equipment got stolen, because it makes it difficult for him to provide you and other racers prompt, accurate results.  With the help of some volunteers today, and many camera phones, we were able to make it happen.
