The flooding in West Virginia has caused massive devastation in Greenbrier County. 26 dead at last count and that number is expected to rise. Route 60, the main artery through the town, is essentially gone. The Greenbrier Classic PGA Tour event has been cancelled. More rain and flooding is expected in the coming days. This is a tragedy of historic proportions for the town, state, and country.
I am the son of a lifelong White Sulphur Springs resident, Pat King, who owns a small business in town (EvriChart) with his brother, John. My grandmother, Sue King, taught and served on the Greenbrier County school board for over 35 years. I grew up nearby in Roanoke, VA, but White Sulphur has always felt like home. I currently live in Arlington, VA, and I want to do whatever I can to help the people affected.
Every dollar helps. All funds will be distributed through Emanuel United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Charities. 100% of every dollar will go directly to providing food, water, clothing, and other necessities to the people of White Sulphur Springs.
Please help this amazing town get back on its feet.
