Stepping Stones housing for youth

Stepping Stones  is an independent local nonprofit that provides housing and supportive services to homeless youth in south central Indiana.  Our housing program is located in Bloomington, and we provide housing to homeless youth regardless of their last permanent address.   We have 11 years of experience providing dedicated services to transition-age youth, and are the sole provider in our region with dedicated services to these unaccompanied, vulnerable youth.  

As the Executive Director, I am asking for your help today as we recently lost one of our prominent, long-term, federal grants.  In the attached video, you can find me, Alysia Fornal, speaking as an Independent Living Coach.  For five years, I have served Stepping Stones in a variety of positions, and whole heartedly believe in the mission of our small organization.  Over my five years of experience, I can also tell you that the need for our organization is certainly present.  In the 2013-2014 academic school year, the Monroe County Community School Corporation reported 304 homeless youth in the school system.  These young people need our services.
