I am fundraising to help Preen pay for van repairs (and hire while it’s fixed) so they can continue providing furniture to clients in need during lockdown.
Our van is our most important piece of equipment. We have invested in a good one but (with only a month to go until it’s paid for) it has been damaged and now can’t be driven. For those who understand mechanics - a part of the EGR valve has sheared off and ricocheted into the turbo unit. It’s going to cost £2500. For best value we got two garages to look at it - this is the best option.
We have no choice but to fix it - we need it now to deliver furniture, van hire is £100 a day - and it is still worth fixing.
Under normal circumstances we could cover this without too much struggle but the lockdowns are killing our income generation and we are haemorrhaging money paying the bills that don’t stop.
I’m so grateful to everyone who has offered to chip in and help already. Honestly - I couldn’t run this project without all the lovely people round here who step in and help when we’re struggling. Thank you.
