Wilson family 6th annual fundraiser

Dear supporters, friends, and family,

This has been a truly difficult year for so many of us and I am especially grateful to you for supporting our 6th annual fundraiser. This is a very special opportunity to be the helping hand and a giver of hope to our Wilson family!

When i first met the Wilsons in Israel 8 years ago, I was amazed at their desire and ability to give. I haven't previously seen such a modest Shabbos meal, yet it was full of love, care, and joy. As I walked to the bus stop on my way out of Tsfat, my pack heavy but heart uplifted, I made a commitment to make the Wilson family my family. I received tremendous support from our contributors over the years and am honored to be part of this journey, which would not have the impact it had without your generous acts of kindness. For this, I thank you to the moon and back!!!

This year I would like to open the door, so to speak, to the Wilson family home, and introduce you. Dovid and Yael have been married for nearly 21 years and living a modest life in Tsfat, Israel. Dovid is a man of the Book and struggled over the years to balance his dedication to learning, supporting his family, and helping out with the children. Despite these struggles, the Wilsons try to make ends meet by doing odd jobs in the community.

Yehonatan Shlomo is 19 and recently married. Last year he was attending a Yeshiva in Jerusalem and most of his spare time volunteering for Hatzala. Nechama Yehudit, 17 learns in seminary high school in Chatzor.  Miriam Yocheved, 15, Sara Sashia, 13 and Faiga, 10 learn in a community's Bait Yaacov school.  Some of their spare time is spent  babysitting for families in the community. Nachman, 9 and Yosef Chayim, 7 learn in Cheder. Adel, 5 is in the gan (kindergarten) of Bait Yaacov. Shimon Akiva, 3 is in a local private kindergarten. The next child is waiting to be born, b'sha-ah Tova in good time, soon. [Since the time of this update from he Wilsons, they had a healthy beautiful baby!]

With Purim and Pesach around the corner, let's show our Wilson family the strength of unity of the Jewish people. Please join me in reaching this year's goal of $5,000! I thank you for you time, generosity, and love for our brothers and sisters!

**All funds collected by Purim day (Friday, February 26) will be made available to the Wilsons right away and will fulfill the special Mitzvah of the day - Matonas L'evyonim (gifts for the poor). Please consult your local Orthodox Rabbi for if you have any questions in this regard.

Thank you beyond words and may we always merit to give!
