Smiles for Miles!

March 2023

Hey everyone!

We have been asked a bunch for updates on our lil man! He’s almost two now! We had a year and a half of A LOT of fractures but at 18 months we flew to Omaha Nebraska to see a specialist and rod his femurs, tibias, and both humerus bones. He did amazing during his surgeries and we have seen the amazing benefits of this life changing surgery. For the next few years we will have to fly out to replace the rods once a year as he grows. We haven’t seen a fracture since the rodding surgeries so we are working hard at pt and the local indoor pool to build his strength and stamina to hopefully be able to walk around the house in the future. We are waiting on his wheel chair to be built and see him rolling around adventuring as a two year old should! Right now our biggest struggle is his teeth, yep those are affected and we have some high dental bills coming our way. We decided to keep the go fund me active for any help that those who wish to donate for things such as his dental bills, traveling costs for surgeries, a wheel chair ramp for the house, and leveling out our backyard so he can wheel around and play with Oliver. We are so proud of our warrior, he has defied the odds and fills us with joy for every victory. Our hope is to always find a way to make life adaptable and fun for him. We hope to raise two confident, kind, loving, faithful boys and one day, into men. Thank you! ❤️ Kasidy, Joshua, Oliver, and Miles!

Hello everyone!

We are hoping to raise funds for the special things that baby Miles will need to keep him safe and comfortable on his journey through life!

Miles has a disease known as Osteogenesis Imperfecta (oi) you may have heard it referred to as brittle bone disease. There are many types that range from almost unnoticeable to fatal...

Luckily miles doesn’t have the fatal type, however, he does have a fairly severe type that will require a lot of special equipment and doctors visits at both our local hospital and Seattle Children’s Hospital where he will get bone strengthening infusions and physical therapy and lots of love. We are ready for this journey and so excited to see Miles kick butt as he grows!

Due to his condition, miles requires quite a bit of extra equipment! Babies require a lot already, but Oi babies also require some specialized equipment to make their lives as comfortable and as safe as possible.

Things like special clothes so their hands and feet don’t get caught when getting them dressed, fracture kits, special car seats, strollers, mobility equipment and the list goes on!

Being a single income household has made affording these items a bit difficult which is why we are here! Anything helps and we understand not everyone can help donate and that’s ok! We appreciate you taking the time to come and read about baby Miles and just ask that you keep him in your thoughts prayers!
