This is a story about a beautiful girl who has fought a horrible demon for most of her life. Around age 10 she was diagnosed with leukemia. Since that original diagnosis, she has gone in and out of remission multiple times. Chloe's original diagnosis was hard to believe since Cancer was not diagnosed as frequently as it is now (especially in regard to a young child). It shook our small town to the core. We all came together to support a young child and her family fight a disease invading her tiny body. It was an illness we all feared would one day hit our homes.

Since that time Chloe has battled Cancer 5-6 additional times. Chloe is 23 years old and has battled cancer most of her life. It's hard to imagine all the chemo, radiation, pain, missed school days, missed family events, missed parties, etc. It's unfair. But through it all Chloe and her family have kept their Faith. Held firm to the concept of a "Greater Purpose" even if they never knew what that was.

Chloe's body is still fighting but there are obstacles we can pull together and help her and the family overcome. They are making many trips to Riley, each trip cost $20 or more. Chloe nor her Mom are able to work and finances are tight. Also, Chloe is hoping to visit her brother and his family in Florida soon (if she is able).

I am sending a plea to the Frankton Community and Team Chloe Members to come together and make an impact again. Even if it is $10, that gets Chloe down to Riley for treatment and another $10 gets her back home. But I would challenge us to do more. Let's get her to Florida for the family time she craves. Maybe a day on the beach with her toes in the sand.

Let's show Chloe she is not alone in this fight. We are still here standing with her.
