Help the Pascal Family

Donation protected

We are telling this story to help our dearest friends, The Pascal Family. Those of you that know the Pascals know that they are the most genuine, kind hearted and generous people you will ever meet. Lisa is a part-time teacher of the deaf and Pierre runs his own gardening and maintenance business.

In June 2020, Lisa and Pierre received a beautiful surprise - Lisa was pregnant! Although this little baby was quite unexpected, the family was thrilled to welcome another little bundle of joy. Their third baby is a baby brother for their adorable and sweet girls, Angélique, almost 5, and Anabelle, 2. He is due to be born in mid February 2021 at the Royal Women's Hospital in Melbourne.

In October 2020, at a routine scan, Pierre and Lisa were told some devastating news. Their baby has Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS), or in simpler terms, half a heart. The news came as a complete shock to them. The following weeks and months have been filled with more scans, tests and appointments with numerous doctors and specialists. They have been told that their little boy has quite the journey ahead. Babies born with this condition need to be stabilized immediately after birth and taken to the NICU at The Royal Children's Hospital where he will have his tiny heart scanned and assessed for surgery by an amazing team of specialists. Within his first day or two of life, he will receive lifesaving heart surgery. Again, at around three months old, he will undergo a second major operation. They are expecting that he’ll be in the NICU at the Royal Children's for 4 months before he can join his family at their home in Eltham.

Pierre and Lisa are incredibly strong, resilient and spiritual people and the best husband and wife team you can imagine. But with a roller-coaster of a ride ahead, there's no doubt this has and continues to take its toll - mentally, physically and financially. Family and friends have been helping out wherever they can but they also lead busy lives and many have young families of their own. Pierre's family are all based in France and due to COVID, they won't be able to visit for quite some time :(

We are hoping to raise enough money to take away some of the financial burden over the coming months and give them some freedom to put some things in place to make life a little bit easier.

Funds raised may go towards:

- Making up for lost income as Pierre takes some time away from work to be with his family
- Travel costs associated with daily trips to and from the hospital (Eltham to the city)
- Parking
- Ready made and delivered meals/take away while at the hospital
- A house cleaner
- A nanny or babysitter to help out with care of their girls
- Any extra medical bills that may arise
- A bigger family car

Please consider making a donation, no matter how small to help this beautiful family.

Much love and light,

Georgia & Carrie Ann xo
