296 in Mason's Memory
Donation protected
Hi,
I’m Claire-Jayne.. Mama to 2 wonderful little boys and a beautiful baby girl. In February 2023 our lives were turned upside down when we found out we were losing our second little boy. On 2nd March 2023 our precious little boy, Mason was born sleeping. He was the spit of his siblings and a joy during pregnancy. I never in a million years thought this would happen to us but here we are 18 months on learning a new normal and navigating this crazy world as a family of 4 earthside. I know we are not alone in suffering this life changing loss and in Mason's memory would like to fundraise for two wonderful causes as I know his life was not in vain.
1) Aching Arms Bears: They provide comfort bears to bereaved parents and are often bought and donated by other bereaved parents. It may sound silly but in some ways it brings comfort knowing you are not alone in this situation and that there are others who truly understand the grief, the anger, the never-ending guilt for the smiles and laughter you have without your angel children. We received one from a wonderful family who I was able to contact and say thanks to and would like to pay it forward.
2) Gifts by Z Creations: This woman and her family are just beautiful and amazing. This lovely lady fundraises tirelessly in memory of her beautiful daughter (sidenote-she is not funded and is not a charity) and makes gifts for bereaved parents off her own back. We received a beautiful hand carved box of things made to remember him including a print of his footprints, white feather bauble and other personalised gifts. Not once did she ask us for a penny. She does not know how wonderful she is so I want to help her reach more families without the added strain to her.
Soooo 296? Mason was born at 29 weeks 6 days hence the number. I intend to run and power walk (when I have our daughter with me in the pram) 296 miles in October to raise vital funds to help these amazing charities and get their names out there but also give back on behalf of Mason.
No donation is too small. I appreciate we are in an economic crisis right now but if you can , please donate however little it is.. I see you and I appreciate you.
All our love,
CJ, Dean, Dylan and Isla.
