Get Jimmy Home!

Many of you know this man by the name of coach Jimmy. This man has done so much for so many and never ask for anything in return. He has impacted the lives of thousands of children and parents. He has coached teams when there was no one to coach. He has kept players on his team because he believed in them when others did not. Even after a long day of coaching games, he will take the time to sit down in the grass next to players and watch this beautiful game of soccer, and more than likely, there are multiple players on the pitch he has coached. Coach Jimmy not only coaches these players the game of soccer, he encourages them to have fun and fall in love with this beautiful game, we call soccer.

Coach Jimmy Suberu came to the United States in the summer of 1981. After a few years and getting settled here in the US, he took a coaching job with RYSA. Coach Jimmy also coaches at the High School level, where he is starting to gain some notoriety as a High School coach, and teams are seeking him out. He has coached for Southwest Dekalb, Rockdale High School, Salem High School, and currently coaching at South Gwinnett High School. He coaches multiple Academy teams, you can often find him helping to coach a Rec team for his granddaughter, and he is SO instrumental in the RYSA Mini Revs program.

When Jimmy is not actively coaching, he owned and ran a mechanical/repair shop for cars. When COVID hit he had to make the tough decision, as many of business owners had to make during this time, and he decided to close his mechanical/repair shop.

Get Jimmy Home!
We are asking for your help. Coach Jimmy has not been home to Nigeria in 7 years. He has had to decide on a few occasions whether or not to go home to Nigeria and see family or coach a team. This man often puts our families in front of his, and we can never repay that act of kindness, but I would like for us to try.
Coach Jimmy needs our help getting home. His 86yr old mother is having severe health issues, surgery will be needed, and her place of living will need repairs. Coach Jimmy plans on going to Nigeria in June when the soccer season is over and staying for a period of time to help his mother and family. I truly believe in my heart this man would do the same for any of our families.

All funds raised will go towards his travel, mother/family healthcare, and repairs needed for their place of living.
Let's come together and Get Jimmy Home!
