Indigenous Family From Peru Needs Your Help
Donation protected
Hello, I am friends with a family that lives on the Island called Amantani, which is an Island of about 5,000 people in the region of Puno in southern Peru. I met them a couple years ago on my travels and have stayed with them many times. They grow their own food and make their money from tourists visiting the sacred land. Since Covid started and the severe shutdown of the country, they have been severely impacted. Because their industry is depended on tourism they don’t have any extra income to help out. They grow their own food however I have learned recently that they are not getting enough rain. I myself am back in California. And if you are a donator and have any questions for me please feel free to contact me. I know that we in the USA are having our own problems however they are having a very hard time and the US dollar goes a lot further down there. Your donation will go to very good people who at the minimum deserve to eat. And if you are not able to donate then please pray for rain in this region so they are able to grow their crops.
This was to anyone who donated. A thank you letter from Lucy.

A big thank you to all who donated!
Here is a letter from Lucy that I finally translated:
Dear Friends in the U.S.,
One day the world changed. They told us about a virus we didn’t want and a quarantine that we didn’t understand and would cost us a lot. Suddenly our tourist friends stopped coming to see us on our wonderful island in Lake Titicaca, Peru where I live. We grow what feeds us here, but without tourists, it’s been a big economic impact on us. My Father is very sick in the lungs and I am having stomach issues. We had to leave the island by bus for medical treatment.
The money that you have donated will help so much with paying for these health treatments and also to help fix our house that is cracking and a roof support that is being destroyed by termites. We want to solve these problems, and we hope the pandemic will end soon so we will be able to receive visitors back in the house.
On behalf of my parents and daughter, we thank you for this tremendous support, thank you to our great friend Austin who administered on our behalf.
My family and I will welcome you with great pleasure whenever you can visit us, this will be your home.
I thank you and the Lord Jesus Christ for this blessing and wish you blessings in the New Year,
