Hello! My name is Joanna and I have been a veterinary assistant for 18 years. As many of you know in January I will be heading to Tanzania, Africa to help in the elimination of rabies by vaccinating area dogs and by educating the importance of yearly vaccines. I have come to the part that is hardest for me: pushing through my pride and asking for help that will allow me to help this amazing program to ensure they beat a disease that should no longer exist.
FACT: Over 99% of human rabies cases are caused by an infected dog bite. Once symptoms of the disease develop, it is always fatal.
A staggering 59,000 people die a year, world wide.
If you work with animals, have an animal, or simply love animals I hope you will consider donating. Your donation WILL help save the lives of tens of thousands people and dogs!
With your help, I'll be able to pay for my Mission fee ($958.00), travel to and from Tanzania ($1,200.00), insurance costs ($75.00), and VISA fees ($100.00). I understand these are hard times for everyone, but no amount is too small. Thank you for helping me help save lives!
