280 CHALLENGE
A group of intrepid Liverymen of the Company, accompanied by the Clerk, will be undertaking what they're calling the 280 Challenge - a six-day, 280 mile tandem cycle ride from York to the City of London.
Let us be in no doubt of the challenge: none of the participants are competitive cyclists; only one has ever ridden a tandem before; one is recovering from a knee-replacement operation; they will have no shadowing administration vehicle and the weather is likely to be as changable as May weather in the UK ever is !
Howwever they intend to battle on regardless in order to raise funds for the Masons' Company Charitable Trust.
Any contribution, big or small, will be gratefully received and put to good use to meet the worthwhile aims of the Charitable Trust which are:
- The relief of poverty.
- The advancement of education.
- The advancement of religion and
- The advancement of other other legally charitable purposes.
Thank you for reading and please donate whatever you feel you're able to.
