Please sponsor 5K honoring Ivan’s life in Philly

Hi my name is Julissa, I’m one of the leaders of the Mangata Foundation we are working on bringing awareness to issues impacting our communities. In 2019 1,150 people died in the city of Philadelphia of a drug overdose. Unfortunately my brother Ivan was one of them. Losing Ivan was like losing part of my identity. As devastating and traumatic as the loss of his life is to my family, I know there’s nothing I can do to change what occurred the night he overdosed and passed away. I know now that if opioid overdose reversal drugs would have been available at the time of his overdose he may still be with us today. With the knowledge I possess today, I will fight for other families that are being torn apart by the opioid crisis in Philadelphia. I don’t want another family to go through what my mother, nephew, brothers, family, friends and I are experiencing. These overdose deaths can be prevented with overdose awareness, opioid overdose reversal drugs and preventive education. Help me raise money for a local charity PPP that provides community awareness, education, overdose prevention, food and shelter to people in crisis in the city of Philadelphia. My brother Ivan was a beautiful, charismatic, well read and dynamic individual, like him their are thousands that don’t deserve to die and become a stigma that doesn’t fit them.
