Hi everyone,
Tani here. As many of you know, I was born and raised in Montego Bay, Jamaica. With my family and many close friends still residing there, I am sad to say that Hurricane Melissa has created an environment of much-needed prayers. I’m raising funds to support families in my hometown — Montego Bay, Jamaica, specifically in the Westgreen and Catherine Hall communities — who have been devastated by severe flooding.
Recently, two rivers overflowed their banks, pushing over 5 feet of water into homes, sweeping away years of memories, and leaving families displaced and heartbroken. What was once a peaceful and vibrant community is now marked by loss and destruction. Family homes that stood for generations — symbols of legacy, hard work, and love — have been reduced to rubble and mud.
Many residents are now struggling to rebuild from nothing — without basic furniture, clothing, or shelter. The local recovery efforts are ongoing, but the need for food, cleaning supplies, roofing materials, and emergency repairs far outweighs the available resources.
Your contribution — no matter how small — can help a family regain stability and hope. Every dollar will go directly toward restoring homes, replacing essentials, and supporting those most affected.
Montego Bay has always been a place of resilience, love, and unity. With your help, we can rebuild what was lost and remind our community that even in the darkest moments, they are not alone.
Thank you for standing with us in this time of need.
