We are thoroughly disappointed that 300 Tory MPs voted against extending and supporting the scheme for the most vulnerable children in our community, with Free School Meal vouchers throughout the half term next week and then, Christmas break.

Many families are hanging on by a thread this year due to the pandemic, in addition to their usual financial struggles. We have funded vouchers for 212 children during the October half term but want to ensure that all the children entitled to Free School Meals have hot meals over the Christmas break and a Christmas gift
