The Situation

Adriana is the mother of baby Vivian (born in May 2025) and Blain. Currently, Adriana is out of work and acting as a stay at home mom to provide direct attention to Vivian who was born with a heart condition. Her partner Justin has been working to provide for her as well as the children.

Recently, Justin was in a single-car accident resulting in hospitalization and surgery. He suffered spinal fractures that required rods to be inserted in his back. The doctors say recovery will take much longer than his work benefits will cover, and it's unlikely he'll be able to maintain his current level of work during recovery.

His current paychecks are going towards paying his benefits and he has a limited amount of PTO that will also go towards making sure benefits are paid for. His work is covered for about 2 weeks but recovery is expected to be much longer. The family has also missed work and had additional unexpected expenses for travel, parking, eating, and medical costs.

The Ask

We are hoping to raise $1,500 for Adriana and her family. The first $500 will help with the money that has already been spent along with ongoing medical expenses. An additional $1,000 will help make sure that Adriana and her children are taken care of while she searches for employment and Justin works through physical therapy as we get a better idea of the recovery timeline.

We know that this is a lot of money - we don't have it either, but we believe in helping, we believe in community and the power of love, kindness, and caring. Every dollar counts, as do meals, things for baby Vivian, and simply spreading the word if there's nothing else you can do.
