Help bring Billiards back to New York!

We need your help! With the current covid-19 crisis, almost every indoor activity has been allowed to re-open. Bowling alleys, restaurants, gyms and even ping pong parlors are open. But not pool rooms! This is illogical. Pool rooms are as safe OR SAFER than any of these other activities! Pool rooms are large open spaces in which people can easily social distance, and we can easily implement the same safety measures adopted by other businesses. Not allowing us to re-open makes no sense from a health point of view. And from a jobs point of view it is devastating. After almost SEVEN MONTHS, our almost 1,000 employees remain out of work and are unable to support their families.
The Metropolitan Billiard Room Association (www.mbranyc.com) was formed to convince Governor Cuomo to allow pool rooms in NYC to re-open. But we do not have the financial resources to pay for lobbyists, law firms and other professionals necessary to make it happen. We are seeking to raise money to help us pay for these professionals in order to convince Governor Cuomo to re-open pool rooms in New York City. If you can contribute $50, $100, $200, or more, it will help pool rooms in N.Y.C. re-open and our almost 1,000 employees will get their jobs back. Thank you!
