Hydrofarm for the Homeless has outgrown its space.
Since last January I have grown over 1000 heads of lettuce, hundreds of tomatoes, strawberries & more. I am expanding my Hydrofarm for the Homeless each month. I am now at the point where I have outgrown our livingroom. I have grow buckets & units I can not grow in. Every time I try to plug a new unit in it knocks off the power to our apartment. I need to get a bigger dedicated space for the Hydrofarm so I can grow & help feed more people in need.
Every cent you donate will go directly to expanding the Hydrofarm....more space, more equipment, more seeds, using sustainable packaging, water & electricity.

I’m Donovan Smith, I am 17 years old and
I am mostly known for making & donating over 22,000 soaps to the homeless. There are plenty of articles about my mission to help the homeless online if you google “Donovan Smith Soap”. A lot has changed throughout my community, my country and the world recently and I am always trying to find a way to make a difference so I am creating a hydrofarm. I have been successful in growing lettuce, kale, Swiss Chard and more hydroponically for my family. I am now creating a hydrofarm to grow lettuce/greens for those in need in my community. I have already purchased equipment & tools to start growing 90 heads of lettuce this month and hope to expand that with your support. My dream is to grow hundreds of lettuces/greens and give them freely to anyone in my community who is in need and dealing food insecurity. The same hardwork, determination & compassion that helped me make 22,000 soaps for the homeless will help me feed as many as I can during this crisis. My motto has always been to “Do What You Can”. Please support my mission to help others in need. Your support will help me buy more hydroponic units, supplies and needs to help as many as possible.
