My name is Jacob, and I am fundraising for my Eagle Scout project. I will be building helmet boxes that hold baseball helmets. These will be installed at our local public parks' 4 current baseball fields. An extra set will be made for a fifth field that will be built soon. They will be used to protect the player’s gear from different kinds of weather. I played baseball for 9 years, and I have always seen the nice helmet holders at high school fields which I always wanted to use but never did. In little league baseball, there are rarely high-quality helmet boxes that can be used. It means so much to little league players to use something like this to feel like they are in the “big leagues,” and I want to give every young player that opportunity since I never really got that chance. Anything we collect that is extra will be donated back to our local parks.
