Salam alaikum, Ramadhan Kareem to all. 

As most of you know every Mahe Ramadhan I collect money for orphans/less fortunate. With your generous donations we raised £3854. 

We Alhamdulillah are fortunate enough to be blessed with clean food and water in this blessed month. But their are many unfortunate people out there who don't have anything to close or open their fast with. I agree it has been a difficult year  and we all have responsibilities but less not forget our responsibility towards the less fortunate.

When we fast and feel that hunger and thirst we know in a couple of hours we will get to eat and drink. There are those that have no idea where their next meal will come from and even if it will. Lets try and make a difference.

وَأَمَّا حَقُّ الصَّدَقَةِ فَأَنْ تَعْلَمَ أنَّها ذُخرُكَ عِنْدَ رَبكَ وَوَديعَتُكَ الَّتِي لا تَحْتَاجُ إلَى الإشْهَادِ عَليها، و كُنْتَ بمَا تَسْتَودِعُهُ سِرًّا أَوْثقَ مِنْكَ بمَا تَسْتَوْدِعُهُ عَلانِيَةً، و تعلم أنَّها تَدْفَعُ البلايا و الأسقام عنك في الدنيا، وتَدفَعُ عنك النار في الآخرة

The right of charity (sadaqa) is that you know it is a storing away with your Lord and a deposit for which you will have no need for witnesses. If you deposit it in secret, you will be more confident of it than if you deposit it in public.1 You should know that it repels afflictions and illnesses from you in this world and it will repel the Fire from you in the next world. IMAM ZAINUL ABEDEEN (AS)

May Allah swt keep you and your loved ones safe from all harm and evil. May Allah swt accept all your fasts,  hajats and ibadat.
