Tracey and Kevin’s parenthood plan

Dear Family and Friends, It is hard to imagine that with the uncertainty we have all faced in 2020 that in the middle of a pandemic and with social distancing that two people like us would find comfort with each other and fall in love. This has been a year of upheaval and we feel the need to connect with people socially now more than ever. Having found each other we began to discuss our hopes and dreams and learned that we were both looking for the same things. With the love and support of our families, friends and community we are moving forward together, quickly. We will be getting married on November 28, 2020. Our plan as husband and wife is to pursue adoption. We have a long road in front of us to make our dreams of parenthood a reality. The domestic adoption process costs an average of $40,000.00 and can take as long as two years to complete. It is fraught with anxiety and occasional heartbreak but our focus is on hope. In speaking with each other, we don’t need “somethings” at this time in our lives (we are so grateful that we have more than enough). We would like to add a someone to our family. We have so much love to give. We are asking that in lieu of a bridal registry or wedding gifts you would consider contributing to an adoption fund that we have created. This year has been nothing short of a miracle, and although it has had its challenges, for us the pandemic turned out to be a blessing. Love and gratitude, Tracey and Kevin
