24-hour run to honor our Uvalde Angels. We'll never forget!!

Donation protected
Hi, I'm Paloma! An ultra-marathoner that often runs to raise money and awareness for various causes and organizations.
On May 24th, 2025, is the anniversary of the tragedy that forever changed the lives of the entire town of Uvalde TX and shook our whole Country. Last year, I ran from San Antonio TX to Uvalde and was able to raise $5000 to gift 5 scholarships in their memory. I would like to once again honor the lives of our 21 angels, this time by running/walking in Uvalde TX for 24 hours. Everyone is welcome to join me for a few miles at any time between 4pm on Friday May 23rd to 4pm on Saturday May 24th.

Every $1000 dollar raised will be given to a senior from Uvalde High School. I have had the honor to meet some of the parents of our 21 angels and will ask them for their input to choose the recipients.

After the tragedy, the UHS football team decided that the jersey #21 was an honor and a responsibility only worthy to be worn by the player that bests represent the grieving community's values; a true leader, chosen by his peers. In 2024, that person was Abraham Ale. The first $1000 scholarship will go to him.

The Second Scholarship will be given to senior Ethan Silguero, who is the brother of our angel Jailah Silguero and cousin of another of our angels Jayce Luevanos.

Thank you so much for helping the community and let us not forget their names!!
