On July 29th, I will be paddling for 24 hours straight in order to raise money for these amazing Klamath Basin youth who just completed the historic first source-to-sea descent of the Klamath River. Three of these students have recently been accepted into World Class Kayak Academy, an intensive traveling & kayaking high school program, which would allow them to continue to paddle and gain valuable experience that they can bring back to their own communities. Tuition for this program is very expensive, and therefore, this opportunity will not be possible without financial help. All proceeds from this fundraiser will be divided evenly among the students who end up going to World Class Academy to help cover tuition and flights. This would be a life-changing experience, and the impacts of these students attending this program go far beyond their own experience, but would allow them to develop more instructional skills and experience that they can use to get others in their communities on the river!
