24 Hours for Charleston
Tax deductible
My name is Richard B Snyder and I’m a recent Citadel Graduate wanting to raise money for the International African American Museum in Charleston, SC by walking around a track for 24 hours straight. I chose a track to replicate the monotonous walk felt by peaceful-protestors as they search for a means to an end. I will start walking this Friday when I finish work.
I wanted to do something simple, tangible, peaceful, and positive for the African American Community in a city that means a lot to me. I have no monetary goal, just want to make this about doing a simple gesture for someone else. The organization was chosen by one of my best friends that feels preserving and teaching African-American history will lead to progress. Donate—don’t donate—be a light and be an example to the people around you.More information about International African American Museum: The International African American Museum will present the largley undertold experiences and contributions of Americans of African descent.
