24 hour march for Marlee #iamthestorm
Hi, my name is Justin Mould and I am aiming to raise money and awareness for Meningitis Now.
My daughter, Marlee, contracted a very rare type of bacterial meningitis in October 2024, as well as ventriculitis and sepsis. To put it into perspective, approximately 20 people a year in the UK contract this type and unfortunately she was one of those.
Marlee became very poorly, very quickly and was rushed to the Royal Stoke University Hospital where staff worked hard to keep her alive. After days, weeks and months of Marlee receiving treatment, we felt blessed that she survived.
On Friday 7th March to Saturday 8th March, I am aiming to walk non stop for 24 hours, trying to cover a distance of 100km. I will be doing this alongside my brother (Andy) and a good friend (Josh). Starting from Bagnall Norton Cricket Club, we plan on heading out towards Cheddleton, through Whiston, Oakamoor and past Alton Towers, before heading south past Uttoxeter and Abbotts Bromley, then heading back through Stone and towards the cricket club.
The love and support shown by family and friends has been overwhelming and we will be forever grateful. However, if you are in a position to further support by donating, it would be very much appreciated, whatever the amount! ️
They whispered to her, "You can not withstand the storm." She whispered back, "I AM THE STORM!" ⛈️
