24 Hour Cycle For Saplings Special School Autism
Donation protected
Hi,
on the 16th and 17th of October 2021, I will be joined by 7 of my teammates from Naas Cycling Club in cycling a 24-hour relay at Mondello Park, the home of Irish motor racing.
Together we will cover an estimated 600kms across the 24 hours. We're doing this to raise funds for Saplings Special School For Autism.
There is an entry fee for the event as it's part of a commercial activity not linked directly to the school, we are using the event as a vehicle to fundraise for Saplings, 100% of the costs of attending and taking part in the event are being covered by the riders and monies raised will be donated to the school.
Thank you for your support and below is some more information about the school.
Best regards
Liam
Saplings is a special school for children aged 4 to 18 with autism and complex needs, in Kill, County Kildare .The Parents Association of the school have set up this fundraising page to help us secure funds for any improvements that need to be made within the school that are not covered by Department of Education and Skills funding. The school was built in the 1950s (originally as a mainstream school) and as such requires a lot of upkeep and running repairs. We only have 30 students in the school, so fundraising can sometimes be difficult. We fundraise to cover these additional maintenance costs, to create sensory rooms, to design and build specialised indoor and outdoor play areas for the students, to provide OT equipment, and to purchase new technologies that will help the students to grow, learn and develop. Saplings strives to create a safe and happy learning environment in which each child can reach his/ her full potential by teaching each student the way that he/ she learns best. We are so grateful to everyone who donates to our school, as every penny goes towards making our school a better and more fun environment for our students.
