A long (but feel good!) post that I hope you all take a moment to read. Trinity Alums - please read, share, and help if you can.
I took on the Trinity Middle School PTA Presidency last year. I'd hoped it would lead me to get involved in a way that felt good in my teenager's life. I was unbelievably lucky to get to team up with longtime friends, and industry peers who are the principals of TMS - Paul Kostelnik and Lindsay Benzenhoefer. Now, I'm asking for you as my community to help me help them... by helping fund easily the single greatest program that comes out of the school - The Hiller Holiday Helpers.
Lindsay has built, from the ground up, an amazing volunteer effort to bring families in need, in the District, a Christmas they couldn't provide on their own. Her, and her amazing staff and student volunteers, start with a list and high hopes. Each year, they fund, shop for, wrap, and deliver a holiday to 200+ students in the Trinity area each year.
The selflessness that comes from this program is unmatched. And Lindsey would never give herself enough credit - but she deserves the world's help for this yearly project.
The seed money comes from fundraising events that take place each Spring via student and District-led events... and with COVID abound, those events did not happen. And neither did the funding.
Our industry is under the most tremendous pressure we've ever encountered - return to school efforts have brought us to an arena we didn't know existed. And before we all know it - the holiday season will be here. The idea of those hundreds of kids and countless families not having their District family lift them up is just simply not an option. Please help - today, in the weeks to come, and the months ahead.
100% of the donations to this GoFundMe will go to The Hiller Holiday Helpers. The PTA and the school will continue to lead fundraising efforts - but even the smallest amount you can help us with here will undoubtedly bring gifts and grace to Trinity Area families this year.
