Hi, my name is Emma and my family and I are starting this fundraiser in hopes to help my mom Angela during her slow recovery resulting in her being unable to work. It all started with a heart defect my mom was born with causing her heart to beat irregularly and go into atrial fibrillation. The hospital trips back and forth started late May of 2025 and finally at the end of August got her ablation surgery stopping the atrial fibrillation.

During those long months of hospital visits there was time off work making it hard to afford day to day life. My mom just started her return back to regular life and work again when during a hike on September 20th my mom lost her footing and fell down a rocky path near the ocean in Seaschelt.

Thankfully she was with a friend who was able to get help as my mom was unable to move without excruciating pain. After several hours of firefighters and search and rescue trying to get to my mom while the tide was rising, they were able to get her to the hospital where she got x-rays and CT scans. Showing up in the mix of severe bruising, cuts and scraps was a major knee injury. After finally going back to work after a long recovery, she is facing yet another period off work.
