The Goodin Family requires no introduction if you have ever met them. They are full of smiles, love and compassion to everyone around them- even if you don't know them by name.
The parents: Hayyan and DJ raise their beautiful children: Hafiz, Zayelle, and Dayonie to have the same kind, caring manner that they do.
This gofundme page was something extremely hard to get started as The Goodin family never expects or asks for anything. They hide their pain and maintain their strengths behind those smiles. It is with great sadness that this page is being started.
In January 2021- The Goodin family had to take their youngest son, Dayonie to the doctors after complaints of a headache and concerns with his eye. Everything was a whirlwind from there and the family had to travel out of state to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) several times. Unfortunately, their sweet little Dayonie was diagnosed with a tumor behind his eye which led to the removal of the eye and now more trips are required due to him requiring Chemo.
This is a lot of information to share and it's something no family or parent wants to go through. The Goodin Family has built such a beautiful community of friends around them and so many people have reached out to want to help. Gofundme seemed like the best platform to share with the most people.
The Goodin Family has a long road ahead of them including time off from work, traveling to another state for care, hotel stays, other travel expenses and of course- medical expenses at a specialty hospital.
Chances are if you met DJ or Hayyan- they have brought a smile to your face. They never complain about anything and they are always trying to help. DJ helps with training some of the most athletic individuals when he's not working his full time job in a hospital. Hayyan, an occupational therapist, is always trying to help her clients in the most creative ways. If you have seen her facebook then you have seen Hayyan coming up with the most amazing adaptive equipment for her patient's and DJ is also seen helping her imagination come to life. Unless its sewing- in which case Hayyan is a one man show; creating masterpieces for work, her kids and even masks for this pandemic.
