23 Health Post - Ultrasound & Booster Fundraiser

After the fantastic post-covid news of formality in our collaboration with Cambodia's Ministry of Health, we are set to support our project with a needed boost.

A few relatively small items and 1 major one is our goal - an Ultrasound scanner.
This supports and enhances our ongoing project - ‘23 Health Post’ as well returning to initiatives like Breakfast Club - as more volunteers and people to help return.

As we did to build and equip 23 Health Post, Beach House Cambodia and THE RAINBOW COLLECTIONS CHILDREN'S FOUNDATION are again delighted to continue their support. And to invite to support of many wonderful people - like you ;-)
Thanks you once again Sophie and KK for your relentless support. We hope to combine this fundraiser with an event in Cambodia in Jan '24 as Sophie will be visiting ;-)

23 Health Post is now officially part of Sihanoukville Health Dept, with dedicated and excellent Cambodian medics, Sreyka (mid-wife) and Dara (Community Nurse) attending weekly day clinics.
This has now been increased to 2
days/week and

They have been training locals with first aid, conducting minor surgeries, carrying out routine health checks, administering baby inoculations and vaccines (including HPV to girls last week), responding to urgent injuries remotely, providing medical advice remotely.

The community is now connected 24/7/365 via Telegram app linking all with nurses Dara and Sreyka (based in Sihanoukville city Health Centre/Hospital). Brilliant video info is shared and Khmer speak to Khmer medics and get immediate advice or escalation as needed.

The nurses are paid by Sihanoukville Health department, and we provide the space and equipment.

We are over the moon with this excellent collaboration, where referral into mainland health system is enabled and we very happy to continue our support. The island community can now access this now routine health facility.

We feel and appreciate the positive energy of the 2 nurse duo and want to support their momentum, by proving the few items needed now to ensure they have all they need, and don't have to spend personal cash to travel to the island.

Including:

1. Portable Ultrasound ($4,500) - to enable body & baby echography / scans on the island.
2. Sterilisation oven - so small operations are efficient
3. Fix AirCon unit New name sign
4. Travel budget for 1 year for 2 nurses
5. Medications and equipment - small items ongoing
6. Breakfast club funds - $125/to sponsor a Breakfast Club
7. $100/month to support a bright villager - to be able to volunteer their time, and not work those days - as they would otherwise need to live.

We thank you in advance for your contribution and support, to this cause that means so much to us and as we want to support the beautiful community of Koh Rong Sanloem island.

We will be sure to directly and carefully use of every donation and report on expenditure at the end. As before where our facebook page tells the whole story of 23 Health Post, and the many wonderful souls who have supported us on this journey.

We'll be sure to keep you updated there or on Instagram on this next chapter.
