The future begins once a child's mind is enlightened through education. This gofundme will provide support for the educational future of Josiah Ward.

Josiah was born to Dwayne and Michelle Ward at 23 weeks and 1 day in November, 2020 - weighing less than 2 pounds, breathing on a ventilator, eating from an NG feeding tube, and living day to day uncertain of his future.  As new parents, Michelle & Dwayne realized their dream of being a Mom and Dad in Josiah's birth. After 13 years of struggling to have a child, the Wards were overjoyed to know that they would have the privilege of raising a son. Even with Josiah's health obstacles, Dwayne & Michelle  were excited to raise their beautiful baby boy together. 

Dwayne & Michelle often spoke of the future they envisioned for Josiah.
They shared their dreams and aspirations through home videos and recorded dialogues. The future seemed bright for the new family - but tragically Dwayne succumbed to unforeseen illness just a few days shy of Josiah's sixth month of life.

As news spread of Dwayne's passing, colleagues, and friends and family began to express a desire to help Michelle and Josiah deal with the reality of a world without a husband & father. The thought of starting a gofundme campaign seemed to be the best solution to provide an opportunity to invest into Josiah's future.
