My name is Ahmed, and I write to you with a heart filled with despair and hope, clinging to the belief that kindness still exists in this world. My family and I are stuck in Gaza, where every day feels like a battle for survival, and the future seems more uncertain than ever. Genocide and relentless attacks have torn our world apart, and the displacement crisis has left us with nothing but fear and grief.
For fifteen difficult months, we have lived in the shadow of war—airstrikes, shelling, and destruction on all sides. We wake up every day unsure if we will ever see tomorrow.
As for me, I lost my job as a photographer, where I always captured people's happiness in the most beautiful images, giving them the most beautiful memories. After the war took away my job and my camera, I now capture for you my tragedy and the extent of the destruction I live in. I am now homeless, trying to protect my only son, my wife, and my family of seven, but Gaza has become an unbearable prison. We long to leave and seek safety, but the costs of escape are beyond our ability, and we have no refuge left.
I reach out to you, not just as a stranger, but as a father, a son, and a human being. We need your help. We need someone to hear our cries. Please, if there is any way you can contribute to this GoFundMe campaign, no matter how small, it could be the lifeline that saves us. Your generosity is not just money; it is hope, life, and the opportunity for a future far from this nightmare.
Every donation, every kind word, is a step closer to safety, to healing, to a life where we can finally breathe in peace. We humbly ask for your compassion, your empathy, and your support. You have the power to change our destiny.
Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for reading, for your concern, and for being a light in our darkest hours. For more information or any questions, please contact us.
Sincerely,
Ahmed and Family
