My name is Leanne, I’m a single mum to one boy and trying my best to help out my family who has been struck by this devastating storm - hurricane Melissa.

I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your help. My beloved auntie’s home in Mount Stuart, Westmoreland, Jamaica, was completely destroyed by the recent hurricane that swept through the island. The storm tore off her roof, flooded the rooms, and left behind nothing but debris where she once built a lifetime of memories going back several generations.

She has lost almost everything — her furniture, clothing, appliances, and personal belongings. Right now, she’s staying with kind neighbours while trying to figure out how to rebuild her life from scratch.

Anyone who knows my auntie knows she is one of the most caring, generous souls — always the first to help others in her community, even when she doesn’t have much herself. Now, it’s our turn to help her.

All money raised will go directly towards:

Rebuilding her home (materials, labor, and repairs)

Replacing essential household items (bed, stove, refrigerator, etc.)

Purchasing basic necessities like food, clothing, and hygiene supplies
