Help Baby Freya

Baby Freya was born May 22nd and was diagnosed with Pierre Robin Sequence, a condition where her bottom jaw had not finished developing and her tongue was dramatically blocking her airway. Freya has to be operated on right away to tie her tongue to her bottom lip to get her little airway open. Her second surgery was to place a feeding tube and complete an esophagus procedure so she wouldn’t have reflux and could keep her food down. Unfortunately after these surgeries baby Freya still needs ventilator support and the decision was made to transfer her to Children’s in Denver as they are best equipped to help her. Devan, Teema and baby Freya have been through so much this last month proving they are stronger than they know. They are facing some challenges and uncertainty and future surgeries but will get through this one step at a time.
