Suicide is within the three leading causes of death in teenagers between the ages of 15 to 19. Having closely been affected by this issue, I have decided, with the Concordia Women’s Rugby team, to run the Montreal half-marathon in partnership with the Suicide Prevention Centre of Montreal. This organisation provides 24/7 help lines, education, and support, and we are hoping to raise awareness about this escalating issue with them. The money being raised will allow for the SPCM to consider new approaches and resources, or kickstart new support programs.
Any help from you is greatly appreciated. Donating, sharing, or even just supporting, will go a long way. Would love to see you around the race track on the 26th of April!
Please reach out if you have any questions, or concerns, I would be happy to help!
Thank you all.
