After a long battle with pancreatic cancer, including several surgeries Kev passed away on June 5th. Given a prognosis about a year ago that would send most folks into a tailspin, Kev made a decision to make the most of his situation. He rarely missed a day of work, including days he had chemotherapy. He made it to his girls games, and made time for his friends and family, including a Motley Crew concert with Matt Daly and his daughter Aislynn.
Kev was always known as a guy who could light up a room with his presence. His smile and laughter were equally contagious, and you just couldn’t help but feel really good if you were around him.
Nothing brought more joy to his heart than the pride of his wife Geri, and his daughters Aislynn, Hayden and Keira.
I wanted to put something together to honor Kevin awhile ago, but he did not want the attention nor did he want to feel as if he were a burden on anybody.
The night before Kevin passed away his wife told me that he gave his blessing on a small college fundraiser for his daughters, but Kev said “just not yet.”
It has been an honor being a friend of Kev’s all of these years. I will miss him greatly, and feel that I may never again laugh until tears roll down my cheeks again, as only he was that funny.
If you can contribute to this fund his wife and daughters would be very grateful. Thank you.
