The Omaha Black Firefighter Association is an organization dedicated to our community, building our youth, sparking interest about firefighting and EMS to minorities, and most important to help who ever we can in need.
Our Head quarters (Station 14) 2028 Lake street Omaha Ne 68110 is in dying need of reconstruction and any donation would be greatly appreciated. But we do not just want to ask for your money we want to explain how getting station 14 back up and running could be great for our Community.
During these trying times in our community now more then ever we need diversity within our Fire/EMS and Police department. The Omaha Black Fire Fighters have assisted and will continue to assist all minorities within the fire service including blacks, Hispanics, and women of any color. The quickest way for change is to step up and be the one who creates change.
Station 14 wouldn’t only be a office for our organization but also a training ground for people who are interested in a great career in Firefighting/EMS. We are hoping to hold classes and training exercises not only for people already on the job to better our skills but also anyone who is interested in making a change in our community.
Station 14 has very important meaning to African American culture in the city of Omaha. We are asking for your help to preserve the rich history of African-Americans in the Omaha Fire Department. Station 14 will also be used as a community hall for different activities and meetings to better our city.
