SAVE BLACK BUSINESSES

Our goal is to raise money for Bay Area Black Owned Businesses which have been hit especially hard by the Covid-19 pandemic as well as the current civil unrest and protests going on around us. Black owned businesses are suffering and we need your help. Our business, Oakland ‘s Very Own is one of many Black owned businesses that have suffered significant loss of income, vandalism, and property damage, and we are not alone . Many Black owned establishments that have been pillars of the community, including ours , are at risk of permanent closure ; displacing hundreds of employees throughout the Bay Area and causing our neighborhoods to lose the very establishments that have served as staples of the community. Over the years our business like many others has supported the community , employed our people , donated to neighborhood schools, churches and local neighborhood events . We have loved our community and given freely and now we need your love and support in return . This is our opportunity to support our very own . Black owned businesses have been disproportionately unable to secure Covid-19 SBA Disaster Loans . Money has been given freely to corporations while our small businesses are being denied access to critical funding necessary to maintain operations. Many of your beloved restaurants , salons , barbers and more are in danger of closing and never reopening unless we act now . We want to show our community that we take care of our own , that we support our own and that our businesses are truly Oakland’s Very Own . Donated funds will be given directly to Bay Area Black owned businesses in need . Funds will be used to help offset repair costs, damaged property, loss of inventory and revenue as well as to directly support employees . No donation is to small .
