Friends of the Military,

Earlier this year I retired from work – but not from questionable physical activities.

On April 25th, I'm participating in my 11th Atlanta Tough Mudder – a 9-mile obstacle course challenge to raise funds for United Through Reading (UTR), a national non-profit that supports military families.

For nearly 40 years, United Through Reading has connected deployed service members to children in their lives through video-recorded bedtime stories. These services promote family wellness, reduce stress and anxiety, and foster childhood literacy.
